Welcome to the pages of one of Manchester's legendary bands who are gigging again playing their classic songs and new material.
The Distractions go back a long way. In the late 70s they were regarded as one of the top three bands in Manchester along with Joy Division and The Fall
This site however, is dedicated mainly to the present incarnation of The Distractions which reformed in 2016 with Mike and Alex from the original band.
We now have an official Facebook page run by the band which will have up to date news and stuff as well as exclusive content. Please comment and follow. Check it out.

NOBODY'S PERFECT!
Our debut album 'Nobody's Perfect' which was originally out on Island records in 1980 was re-released, in a remixed version, as part of a two CD set on Man in the Moon Records in late March 2020.
It was remixed by Nick Halliwell from Occultation Records. The extra CD has remixes of our TJM and Factory records as well as live tracks and the original version of Nobody's Perfect'
The Man in the Moon label is run by the man who originally signed us for Island: Bill Stewart He always supported us and had faith in the band.
It received 4 and 5 star reviews in both the Music and National press and was one of Amazon's reissues of the year in 2020. It continues to sell well here in the UK and the USA
