Youth Music Traineeship (Paid opportunity!)
Interested in music? Want to get paid to learn how to teach it? No experience or special skills needed!
The Glad Foundation is offering a paid traineeship for one young person aged 18 - 25, living in Glasgow.
We want to help you learn how to become a working musician in the community. You’ll get training and hands-on experience teaching children’s music workshops, working alongside our supportive and experienced instructors. You don’t need any qualifications or experience to apply, just a passion and a drive to get involved with music!
Details
Pay: Real Living Wage for all hours worked (currently £12.60 per hour)
When: You need to be available most Fridays, 2:30 - 4:30pm, between September 2025 to June 2026
Where: The Glad Cafe and Annette Street Primary
This opportunity is open to all, but we’d love to hear from graduates of the Annette Street Drummers and anyone who’s ever felt left out of creative spaces, especially if you’ve faced any challenges or barriers to express your creativity. That might be because of your background, identity, or life experiences, such as those who identify as Roma, BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Colour), LGBTQ+, care experienced, or anyone who has felt they have had limited access to opportunities. We want to support you!
