We're looking to fill the following positions in our hardworking and friendly kitchen team. As usual for hospitality work, you should expect to work evenings and weekends

Senior Chef (20+ hrs)

The Glad Café is looking for a Senior Chef to help lead our kitchen team and deliver high-quality vegan food in a friendly, fast-paced environment.

You’ll play a key role in food preparation, service, kitchen organisation, staff support, and developing creative specials. The role involves working closely with the Head Chef and front-of-house team to maintain high standards of food, hygiene, and service.

We’re part of a wider group including The 78, Mono, The Flying Duck and The Old Hairdressers, and we’re committed to creating a respectful and supportive workplace.

You don’t need to be vegan, but you must respect our animal-free kitchen and plant-based food culture.

What we’re looking for:

Previous kitchen supervisory experience preferred

Strong teamwork and communication skills

Ability to stay calm under pressure

Availability for evenings and weekends

Demonstrating enthusiasm and a willingness to learn, alongside an excellent work ethic and positive outlook - you will be part of a hardworking kitchen team committed to cooking and preparing a high standard of vegan food and contributing to ensure service is timely, efficient and organised.

Experience preferred but for the right person, an eagerness to learn and take in information will be considered.
