Line Up

Testcard F originally formed at the University of East Anglia, Norwich in 1981. They explored the unique possibilities of combining new technology electronics with the percussive sounds of found metal objects. Basically, combining cheap synths with banging metal bins. They were invited to record a coveted Peel session first broadcast on 3rd Jan 1983.

Two 7” singles followed on Norwich’s Backs Records label called “Bandwagon Tango” and “Third Stroke”. They then spilt up.

And that would have been that. Except in 2019 the band was asked by Cherry Red Records if they could include Bandwagon Tango on a CD compilation called “Electrical Language: Independent British Synth Pop 78-84” alongside the likes of the Human League and Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark. Being endorsed as synth pop pioneers by such a prestigious label encouraged another burst of creativity. Vince Rogers and Pete Roberts teamed up with vocalist Ruth Roberts (no relation). An intense period of writing followed and the band released 5 singles in 2023. They are now taking their new songs to a live audience in 2024.

The Raven Chords are a four-piece band from south-west London, playing their own material characterised as alt rock with dark melodic undertones. The band’s line-up is:

Dan Heavey – lead guitar and vocals Catherine Davies – vocals Paul Connellan – bass, keyboards and vocals Simon Williams – drums

The band has played shows in London at The Islington 02, The Dublin Castle, The Underbelly, 93 Feet East, The Finborough Arms, Charlie Wright’s, Roadtrip & Workshop, Surya, and The Fighting Cocks amongst others.

They have been described as being ‘mournful Americana rocking boy/girl vocals with a Mark Lanegan via a grunged-up Giant Sand vibe’.

Singer/Songwriter and busker originally from Italy. I moved to UK about 10 years ago to pursue an interest in writing songs and performing. I am trying to build up my name in the music industry as recently I decided to start pursuing this as a full time career and leaving my 9-5 job in the process. Looking ahead I want to be an example for those who have dreams and are not able to chase them, because they may feel stuck in their daily life routine. Everyone in this world should be able to follow their dreams and be happy, no matter what life throws at them.

Born and raised in South West London, Ben Stinson is a pop/indie-pop singer-songwriter with a distinctive sound reminiscent of LANY, Holly Humberstone, Lewis Capaldi and Ed Sheeran. With over 300 songs written to date, he is as hard-working as he is friendly; be prepared to smile and laugh at his live shows.

His first single, ‘Every Little Thing’, captures the unadulterated bliss felt during the highs of young love. He has written with exciting musicians from various backgrounds, including Australia’s up and coming star, Jarrod Jeremiah.
