Hailing from Herts/London, UK, the dynamic alternative rock quartet Kick Pistol draws influence from acts like Muse and Depeche Mode. With Robert (Bass & Lead Vocals), Ryan (Lead Guitar & Backing Vocals), Jeremy (Drums), and Matteo (Rhythm Guitar & Backing Vocals), since 2016 they’ve been captivating audiences at renowned London venues like The O2 Academy Islington and The Dublin Castle.

In the past year, Kick Pistol has honed their powerful alternative rock sound, embracing more introspective themes and poignant lyrics while retaining their signature energy. Their latest release 'Mechanical Heart,' mastered by Taylor Chambers (noted for collaborations with Snoop Dogg), showcases this evocative blend.

'It’s not often you come across a voice with such controlled power: even at the emotional heights and depths of the songs, Rob’s voice retains a purity and focus that is all too rare. Wherever his songwriting leads him, his voice adapts to the genre, from pop through folk and roots. A classic voice for classic music.' Having released his debut single ‘Wind In My Hair’ in 2020, Rob has gone on to be featured on BBC introducing, has won the highly regarded ‘Purbeck Rising 2022’ imprinting himself onto the UK folk scene, and most recently has gone on to win ‘Sofia International Singer Songwriter Festival 2022’ in Bulgaria.Heavily influenced by the likes of; Ben Howard, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers and Bruce Springsteen - Rob’s music is filled with real life experiences, performed in his own compelling style, with acoustic guitar accompanied by a variation of foot percussion. The start of 2023 has already gotten off to a bang, accompanied by his band, Rob sold out the notorious, Joiners Arms in Southampton and within days went on to sell out Heartbreakers, also in Rob's hometown.

In something of a backward nod to the ways of a bygone era, it’s fair to say that Ben Hemming didn’t so much find the blues… as the blues found him.

It was during a particularly troublesome period in his life, stuck in a dead end job, and having watched his girlfriend walk out of his life, that he decided the only option was to seek change. Big change. Leaving all of his emotional baggage behind, he embarked upon a musical pilgrimage around America that eventually would come to define not just his sound, but also his own identity. Picking up an old guitar in a pawn shop along the way, he played his way across the southern states in the tradition of the delta Bluesmen before him. It was Hemming’s way of paying his dues, and of understanding a cultural heritage. Yet in moments of brutal self-reflection, he himself knew that more than anything, this was about escape.

He eventually returned to London with a collection of songs he’d written along the road, which went on to form the basis of his debut album, the aptly titled ‘Broken Man’. He subsequently went on to record three further albums, ‘City of Streets’, ‘The Devil Beside Me’ and ‘Marked Man’ which he self-released to critical acclaim; The Blues Magazine called him 'A unique musical identity’; Blues Blast Magazine described his songs as being 'of bleak beauty' and Americana U.K. placed him firmly at the forefront of the so-called ‘new Blues’ movement.
