Lorem Ipsum is an alternative band from The Netherlands. They deliver a unique sound inspired by acts like The Smiths, Wire, The Clash and PJ Harvey. Also highly inspired by the 70s punk era and more modern bands such as Fontaines D.C. and The Strokes, Lorem Ipsum's got a mixed repertoire, with pointy guitar riffs, energetic drums, haunting basslines and in-your-face vocals with lyrics about the lives and struggles of young adults. All these influences are heard on the self-titled debut EP and the recently released EP 'Bitter Garnish'.

London singer, songwriter and producer Samfire has a fresh experimental sound which is accompanied by her ethereal voice and thoughtful lyrics. She oozes authenticity making her music easily relatable. Her mother working in the classical music industry fueled Samfire’s passion for music early on. After being encouraged by a teacher to take lessons to strengthen her talent, she attended the school choir as a soprano. This filled her with a love for harmonies and a rich epic sound which has translated beautifully in the music that she makes now. Taking her obvious calling for music seriously, Samfire started an indie-pop band with a university friend (who were picked up by BBC Introducing as upcoming artists) called With What Eyes. Now taking on the journey by herself, she is set to release her EP Time, debuting her one-of- a-kind sound.

Influenced by artists such as FKA Twigs (particularly her industrial sounding beats), Lana Del Rey and Kate Bush, you can be assured that Samfire’s music is sonically pleasing. Her music introduces you to a sound that will purposefully provoke your thoughts and move you to feel new extremes of emotion. Although Samfire is spirited and imaginative, she is also quite private. Although, through her music she is able to safely tackle her thoughts and actualize them in a healthy way, satisfying the day-dreamer inside of her.

Josh McGovern’s song writing is an arresting blend of poetic lyricism and powerful musicality, daydreaming Americana and haunting folk sensibilities. The results are beautifully enticing songs of eerie intimacy as found in his highly acclaimed singles The Devil Below Me, Love Left Lost and Weight.

Having grown up listening to artists such as Johnny Cash, Joni Mitchell and Neil Young, McGovern was drawn to writing deeply moving and easily connectable songs, and by studying the melodic attributes of these luminaries, developed his beautiful style of songwriting.

Having built up experience and support, he recently recorded his singles ‘Love Left Lost’ and ‘The Devil Below Me’ with Ben Thackeray, who has worked with the likes of Nick Cave and Patti Smith. Along with his band, McGovern recorded the tracks at Retreat Studios, where Nick Cave recorded the majority of his album Skeleton Tree, which he describes as “one of my favourite albums.” Josh has received early strong support from BBC Introducing and critical acclaim from the likes of The Independent, who described him as “An accomplished, intriguing new talent”. He has sold out headline shows across London and his Brighton hometown, carving out a dedicated following of fans and critics alike, and he looks set to make even more of a statement throughout 2021.

Laura is a singer-songwriter from Hertfordshire. Her quirky narrative style and relatable lyrics combine storytelling with the use of vivid imagery, producing songs with lighthearted insights into life’s trials & tribulations.
