Line Up

Sitting somewhere between David Bowie, Elton John and Freddie Mercury, you will find Barry Hendy. Utilising his dynamic range, creative lyrical storytelling and vocal versatility, along with his Glam-Rock, Pop and Pop-Rock influences, Barry is a future prince of Pop, dubbing his music as ‘Glam-Pop’. Growing up in North London, Hendy was surrounded by music, he came from a very musical family and a lot of his influence came from his grandmother. She was infatuated with Blues, Motown and Country and classic male singers like; Johnny Cash and Elvis Presley, which inevitably influenced him and his love for music.

Writing his first song at around 10, Barry soon became obsessed with writing lyrics and along with his love for singing, he started frequently performing both in and outside of school, and soon enough, there was no other dream in sight.

Starting in early 2019, You Over Me was instigated by Will who had previously attempted multiple start-up jams with John collectively having a handful of roughed out demo ideas.

Soon to follow what was Amy's interest to be a part of the project who also knew a singer (Emma) suited for the vacant position. With the influences divided by the guys in the band more interested in the classic pop punk era and the girls into the modern scene, fusing the timelines to create the ambitious crossover in the decades of the genre.

Uploading the demo to Soundcloud of their first track written together titled 'Move On' before even officially launching the band had over 6K plays in just over a month, with a ton of love and fans querying where to find more music.

Upon launching we had an overwhelming amount of feedback from friends, family, newcomers and even members from bands that inspired us as we released our debut track 'We're Not Changing' along with a fun DIY video created by our own resources that received over 500 views in 2 days.

Online magazine AltCorner featured the band as Track Of The Day soon after the release, stating the "slick riffs, upbeat melody and kick ass attitude in the lyrics" are reasons to be looking out for You Over Me in the future with a debut track that "shows a lot of promise".

With a great start for the bands premiere, they anticipate to build that reputation further during the latter half of 2019, and make waves in the blooming scene, so keep your eyes open, ears clean, for this fresh new Pop Punk / Rock quartet from the UK's capital city of London.

Born and raised in South East London, Jessie Faulkner is a 21 year old singer song-writer who explores unique musical worlds in her songs. A Laura Marling and Jade Bird love child, her wide-ranging influences stem from pop, folk, rock and blues artists while her music centres around storytelling lyrics and catchy melodies.

From humble beginnings, Fliss has made a mark within the London music scene as the new vocal prodigy. Raised in Birmingham, the young songstress finds the perfect lyrical balance between female empowerment and the heartbroken, taking influence from her eclectic taste in music, she intertwines smokey soul and RnB with Jazz undertones. Known for her perfect storytelling tone, her voice fills you with nostalgia, comparing to powerhouses like Amy Winehouse and Jazmine Sullivan, her raw and soul stirring performances leave every audience wanting more, and the visual of her blending the masculine and the feminine makes her the perfect woman for music today.
