9 year old Phoenix received life enhancing music therapy with the UK’s largest music therapy charity Nordoff Robbins since he was three after having been diagnosed with an immune disorder and speech delay, he began music therapy at 3 with his speech therapist Kwaku Tieku at the Croydon Centre of Nordoff Robbins.
To support other children and adults to help them receive life enhancing music therapy as he did, Phoenix will be playing a live gig at The Half Moon Putney on Wednesday 22 March 2023 at 7.30pm with an exciting line up of top Classic rock and Blues tunes, including Led Zeppelin, Jimmy Hendrix, Guns Roses, AC/DC and more! Line Up
During the lockdown when music therapy sessions ended due the lockdown Phoenix picked up a guitar and began playing away to his favourite Classic rock and blues songs, and had found his talent for playing on both electric and acoustic guitar with a local music school online.
In 2022, Phoenix took centre stage in front of 900 premier league football players and backstage with James Bay (and James Guitar) at The Grosvenor Hotel in aid of Nordoff Robbins, where he played Guns n Roses ‘Sweet Child o Mine, on his electric guitar to a roaring applause and received a standing ovation (see attached video).
In October 2022, Phoenix played alongside a top rock band from North American, Monster Truck at Nordoff Robbins centre who will be inviting him to play on their next UK Tour.
Gibson Guitar UK have gifted Phoenix a brand new Slash Les Paul guitar and invited him to their showroom this month. Phoenix’s dream is to meet his favourite rock guitarist Slash lead guitar for Guns n Roses.
In December, Phoenix played at the O2 Blueroom for a pre show, after he was invited by VirginMedia 02 who were blown away by his performance at the Legends of Football.
Phoenix has recently been recognised for his skills and awarded a young musicians grant by UK musician charity Awards for Young Musicians.
