Youth Hotel is a Nottingham based Indie five-piece consisting of the members: vocalist Jack Bratby, drummer Will Rabjohns, rhythm guitarist Ben Thompson, lead guitarist Ben Phair and bassist Nathan Whalley. The band formed late summer 2017 and has since released their debut single, ‘Little Miss Sunshine’, along with Single from their upcoming EP, ‘Candyflip’. They soon plan to release their full debut EP (Hedonia), recorded & produced by Tristan Hill and Joe Fisher of Rainy Daze Studios.

2018 has been an exciting year for Youth Hotel so far; The release of their debut single (Little Miss Sunshine) was a success, garnering close to a thousand streams in only a week after its release, along with the release of their EP single, Candyflip, which also had a very positive response from listeners. The band have also played gigs all over town in venues such as Rough Trade Notts, Rock city basement, The Maze and The Chameleon arts cafe.

Influenced by an eclectic mix of artists spanning across multiple genres, they formed their sound from an amalgamation of each individuals taste. For example, Ben Thompson brings a flavour of 20th century jazz to the bands sound, taking influence from Django Reinhardt, the Beatles and many others. This is matched by Ben Phair's unique take on indie rock, using a range of sounds from fast picking and complex riffs to simple complementary melodies, drawing influence from hard rock & other indie music in general, such as the strokes and blink 182.

Youth Hotel was initially the project of lead singer Jack Bratby, who pulled the members together and formed the group - which hasn't changed since. The band are all in their late teens, forming at the beginning of sixth form years; With two of the members (Jack Bratby and Will Rabjohns) attending Bilborough college and the other three members (Ben Phair, Ben Thompson and Nathan Whalley) attending South Notts Academy, South Wolds sixth form & Confetti Institute of Creative Technologies respectively, the band are located all around the outskirts of Nottingham, meeting mainly through mutual friends.

Planning to release their debut EP by the end of august, they are hoping for a response similar to that of their recent releases 'Little Miss Sunshine' and 'Candyflip'.
