How did you get into music?

"My dad used to make weird electronic music through my childhood, so I first got introduced to the production side around twelve/thirteen, but never really took the time to learn until I was around seventeen. I found that I was obsessed with music when I discovered Drum & Bass, back when freerunning was the latest craze. Particularly Pendulumsʼ first two albums. Then it was the first wave of Dubstep that arrived on the scene in 2011/12, I was gripped with this new, different pace & sound it had brought to electronic music. Since then Iʼve gone through to love EDM house, Trap, Moombahton and all the sub genres of each, but the bass heavy vibes of lower tempo sub & wubs has always caught my attention more than anything else."

You said your Dad was musical but how has he influenced what music you listen to?

"My whole family are musical. The biggest influence would probably the music that my dad used to make as it was just crazy, in a way where there was no restrictions on his creativity he just made what he felt like making, which is exactly what I do. I mean, waking up to the same song on his guitar every day made me want to strangle him too, but music has always been a daily thing for me."

How has your music taste developed over time?

"Oooft thatʼs a big question. Like I said, primarily I have always been on the electronic side of music. Pop music has never been a big thing for me. Iʼd say i started making House music first when i was massively into it but I always had the influences from Dubstep and Drum & Bass so i realised the passion wasnʼt there. From there, I turned to more Trappy vibes, then back to Dubstep, whilst still taking what i learnt from making House music, until they all kinda melded into one big weird thought process that i use with my music."

Artists that inspire you now?

"Thereʼs not enough time in the world to go through all of them but the big ones as of right now has got to be Boombox Cartel, NGHTMRE and obviously and light, lord and saviour Skrillex. However, I like to keep an open mind about all types of music that i can draw inspiration from."

What process do you use to develop an idea that you have, to it being fully produced track?

"I donʼt think there can ever be a set process I use. I could be sitting in front of my laptop with a single loop and that would inspire something in me to make something out of it, or I could be sat in front of the TV and hear one sentence that sparks something and I will just try and get it down as quick as possible before i forget it or lose interest. I try and find a healthy middle between what I am feeling and what I want to feel."

What are you doing with your music at the moment?

"Iʼd say iʼm trying convey more emotion in my tracks I think. Iʼm learning every single day what my end goal is and it changes all the time. Most probably, Iʼll still be learning until the day I die, but for now I am making sure thereʼs some sort of message in each track I produce."

Any releases coming up?

"Yeah I have my Debut EP coming on the 22nd December. 3 Tracks that I have been working on for a while now which I am really happy with. I also have a surprise track coming for the new year which will be exciting."
