Vulpine Records was set up by two musicians and friends in Leeds, UK – crafted out of little more than blood, sweat, tears and an unrelenting passion for music. After dropping the first releases in July 2016, the label has been quick to expand to other cities including London, Liverpool, Manchester, Brighton, Berlin and beyond with an increasing global presence and a growing roster of artists spanning a range of genres. Aside from releasing music, Vulpine Records is involved with the organisation and promotion of live events as well as other multi-media endeavours.
A note on the environment
Our ethos towards the environment is simple: do what we can to reduce our carbon footprint.
We believe that the planet needs to be looked after and we need to take responsibility for its state in the present and work towards a cleaner, greener future. We try to achieve this by using sustainable and responsibly sourced materials for our merchandise and physical products. Where possible, our products are made from recycled materials and our packaging is bio-degradable.
We have also been Flexitarians for the last two years, believing that meat is something that should be a treat rather than an every day occurrence. 1/3 of our green house gas emissions come from agriculture. The market for meat is growing and the planet is running out of room to cater for this demand, which is resulting in deforestation and pollution on an unprecedented scale. We love meat, but to reduce our intake and do our part – however small – we are vegetarian for 5 days a week.
