Velvet Engine, the brainchild of Latina Northamptonian San-D Godoy, emerged enthusiastically into our lives and our hearts at the start of 2008 as a solo act. After numerous positive reviews, tours and radio airplay and in 2012, released her long-awaited debut release 'Glimpse Of The Sun', a collection of songs which have been described as
"Yearning Alt-Folk, with a sprightly but reflective soul".
Counting Laura Marling, Neil Young, Daughter and Fleet Foxes amongst her many influences, now having released her latest EP 'This Old Hat' , we can expect great things from this new breed of heart-warming alt-folk music and Velvet Engine will be sure to drive it in the right direction with her catalogue of honest yet timid and catchy songs.
