BMG PROUDLY ANNOUNCE THE RE-RELEASE OF URIAH HEEP'S 'DEMONS AND WIZARDS' ALBUM AS A 180 G VINYL LP WITH NEW ROGER DEAN RE-IMAGINED ARTWORK!

https://uriahheep.lnk.to/DemonsNWizardsPR

BMG are continuing their 'Art Of The Album' series with one of the defining heavy rock albums of the 1970's. Uriah Heep were in the middle of a productive period of their long and illustrious career with this, their 4th album. Released during their creative peak in 1972, 'Demons And Wizards' captures a magical time in the music world and considers fantastical possibilities as barriers were broken down by space travel and supersonic transportation became a reality. These events were reflected by bands such as Uriah Heep with imaginations rich in imagery and with a broad musical range. Roger Dean is widely seen as one of the masters of 12" album cover art from this time, not only working with Uriah Heep but also Yes and many others. Roger Dean: “'Demons And Wizards' had a magical cover, and although people didn’t necessarily believe in magic back then, they believed in possibilities, and that’s what was most fascinating about that time to me.”

Both Mick Box and Ken Hensley from Uriah Heep agree that Roger's 'Demons And Wizards' artwork visually captured the band and their music at their peak. This new 180 g vinyl re-release (re-mastered by Andy Pearce) features detailed new notes by Joel McIver, which perfectly captures the times this album represents and reveals the story behind the making of the artwork. “‘Demons and Wizards’ really took us on to the world stage and we have been there ever since, so we have a lot to thank that album for. It really has truly stood the test of time. Mick Box URIAH HEEP”
