Trendkill is an underground Thrash/Groove metal band located in the north east of England. They have been around since late 2014 as a band composing their own music. The band became a serious commitment when their previous singer: Jack Milburn, joined in late 2014 - they have been producing music and performing in various venues around the north east since then. Trendkill has been influenced by many bands in the thrash and groove genre; as well as some more complex genres such as jazz, neoclassical and progressive rock. This has helped shape their sound and the influences can be heard within their own music. The band is a 4 piece consisting of vocals, guitar, bass and drums and although their isn’t many members they still have a very full sounding and exciting live set.
Originally starting as a hobby, Trendkill began as a cover band performing in pubs and clubs - when they became more musically experienced they began to dabble with original material- you can hear their compositional development when listening to their older songs compared to their more recent material. Trendkill’s goal is to gain a strong foothold in the metal scene and build up a large fan base internationally.
After a change of interests in late 2015, Jack Milburn departed Trendkill on good terms, as it did not suit his musical taste. This caused Trendkill to continue as a 3 piece for several months whilst in search of the right singer. In March, after auditioning a few different vocalists, Elliot auditioned (March 15th 2016) and they immediately clicked. He is an experienced vocalist with good stage presence and microphone technique, as well as being a multi-instrumentalist. The current line-up is: Elliot ‘Chariot’ Bartram on vocals; Jonny Stern on lead guitar; Isaac Edwards on Bass; and Corey Bennett on Drums.
