*After a hiatus of 7 years, The Vision return to continue what they began. *

UP TO NOW Originally formed late 2006 in Northampton, the band went on to play triumphant shows all over the country at venues including The Dublin Castle, Barfly (both Camden), The Cavern Club (Liverpool), Joseph’s Well (Leeds), The Little Civic (Wolverhampton), The Loft (Cambridge), The Pitz Club, The Craufurd Arms (both Milton Keynes) and back home at The Roadmender and The Soundhaus (both Northampton), gaining the boys a passionate following.

The bands’ single ‘TRUST’, recorded by Simon Turner of SJT studios, received critical acclaim from local press and online reviewers, as well as attention from an (un-named) major record label, and confirmed The Vision’s arrival as a band with huge potential.

In 2008, The Vision reached The Pitz Band Blitz’s (last ever) grand final, having won their heat against stiff competition. The boys lost out on the main prize but had gained valuable experience and a new army of fans, without whom they could never have made it as far – not just in The Band Blitz, but in everything they did.

Later that year, The Vision parted ways to seek new challenges – with Antony (guitarist) going to live in Greece, and Richard (bassist) joining Juliet The Sun. Lee (Synths) went on to establish a dance project called Neon Eclipse and Steve (Lead Vocals) formed FalloW after a period of performing solo. Andy (Drums) hung up his sticks to concentrate on commitments away from music.

In 2011, Antony, Steve and Lee began writing music together again under the name Instant Social Conversion (named after the plot of an episode of The Prisoner) and recorded, mixed and mastered a 12 track album – State Of Mind. Towards the end of 2013, the boys agreed to leave the project there due to various challenges in their personal lives. Steve and Antony briefly collaborated with Simon and Elliot of Rebel Rebellion in 2014, but Steve’s path led him again to his solo work, playing support slots with Tom Hingley (Ex-Inspiral Carpets) and Adam Ficek (Babyshambles) and a main stage appearance at Campbell Park in 2015.

NOW Life is too short for regrets. After discussions between Antony, Steve and Lee – The Vision will return in 2016 – 10 years after originally forming. This is not only a case of playing all the old songs live again, but also to create NEW music, new experiences and become a top live band that the people can connect with. Please welcome Ian Drewery on drums and lead vocalist Steve taking on Bass duties for the beginning of the next chapter…..
