A four-piece Rock’n’Roll, Psychedelic-Blues band from Leeds consisting of Sam Neil (Guitar & vocals), Ethan Lee Sherwin (Guitar & vocals), Joe Connolly (Bass & Vocals) and Ben Heath (drums). Conceived by their frontman Sam in Hyde Park, Leeds, they have taken the scene by storm, playing with the likes of Blossoms, The Kooks, The Courteeners, The Coral, The Vryll Society, YAK, Hidden Charms, The Blinders, Bang Bang Romeo, The Pretty Things, Twisted Wheel and The View’s Kyle Falconer. Championed by This Feeling and praised by BBC Introducing and Radio X, they have performed for Fred Perry, Doc Martens, Pretty Green, and have appeared at Isle Of Wight, Reading & Leeds, Tramlines, FestEvol and YNot.

The band have released five singles to date:

Laburnum House:

‘Polished from the outset with a light jangly guitar riff flicking your ears, before gripping vocal swagger takes over; imploring you to hear every word and follow trance-like into a mysterious passage.’ Get Into This

Caramel Eyes:

‘Who knew that two minutes of a song could be so packed with flavor and energy? From the very start of “Caramel Eyes“, you’ll be dancing and singing, and surely envious of every fan who has ever attended one of their shows.’ Turtle Tempo

Fantasy Machine:

‘...invigorating and exciting in abundance, and exudes an almost otherworldy beauty which sets it apart from anything else I've ever heard.’ Fiction is Not Imagination

She Rhymes To Get Away (B-side, ‘N.R.E.M Interlude’):

‘Sam’s vocals bring a classic-sounding tune into the modern day, his voice reminiscent of more contemporary artists like Miles Kane.’ Northern Exposure

In Your Dreams:

‘Jam packed full of raunchy grooves, crunchy guitars and dreamy harmonies, it’s yet another high class release from this talented Leeds 4-piece.’ Gig Slutz

With strong intentions, The Strawberries aim to make 2019 their year: a fresh single is in the works, set to be released in the spring; they make their international debut in France for the ‘God Save Clermont’ festival, and they are working on more new music, pushing their style and sound to its limits.

“Superb… flavours of The Coral” Gordon Smart, Radio X
