SALTO band was established in 2008. From the very beginning we moved forward to the deep "shamanic" sound balancing between spontaneity of live music and mechanical motion of electronics. Nowaday's SALTO is a band of six space travelers seriously flirting with techno-trance and dubstep, sometimes using really ancient instruments like Turkmen Dutar.

During past years we've been participating in major jazz and psychedelic festivals in Russia such as Wild Mint, Space Of Joy, Trimurti, Chill Out Planet and shared stages with LTJ Bukem, Jazzanova, Tricky, Cinematic Orchestra, etc.

In 2015 we've toured all around Eastern Europe and Balkans and took part in Goulash Disko Festival in Croatia and Prilep Jazz Weekend in Macedonia.

Currently we're preparing to release our new album 'Gamayun'. Some pre-mastered demos are available at our Soundloud, including track Psalm IV which includes spoken words of Lee 'Scratch' Perry exclusively for the project 'Time to read the Psalms'.
