Q. How do I book?
A. Please send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org or call us on 01233 877440, with the type of event and date you have in mind, to discuss your needs and how we can help.
Q. Cost of hiring the venue / putting on an event?
A. We charge a basic fee of £100, which covers the cost our sound-engineer and bar staff, but we will refund £40 if the bar takes £300+ during the event itself.
Q. How late do your events run until?
A. We can apply for a special temporary events license which enables us to extend our normal opening hours beyond 11.30pm; [with at least two weeks notice, plus small fee]. Our normal events license states that music must finish at 11pm and bar shut at 11.30pm.
Q. Disabled access?
A. With enormous regret, due to the age of the building, we do not have disabled access to the venue or toilets. However, the outside area -- occasionally used for special events – is on one level.
Q. Under 18’s policy?
A. Whilst we do admit people under the age of 18 years old, we have a very strict policy on checking valid I.D. before the sale of alcohol and often use a coloured ‘wrist band’ system to clearly differentiate those confirmed as over 18 years old.
A. We always stock bar snacks and can on request, provide a range of cold food including buffets. For special events, we are able to offer a BBQ.
A. Our venue has a capacity of 70 people and while we do have certain regular events, such as our Thursday Attic Sessions, we are flexible and may be able to move our regular in-house-events to suit your needs. Please contact us for further details.
