The Rhetoriks are an Urban/Electronic Dance recording duo made up of Singer-songwriter Elle, and Rapper Jay. Formed in late 2013 after connecting through BBC 1xtra, DJ Target’s #TargetsNoticeBoard hashtag on twitter for collaborators and soon found that they were featured on the same track through a mutual acquaintance. Together they share an undeniable musical chemistry that has seen them perform at a variety of club venues and festivals such as Manchester's Big Weekend, Stereofunk Festival, EH1 Festival, Edinburgh & Newcastle Pride, The Classic Grand, Spektrum, and many more. Their name has been found on the same line-up as notable names in the music scene such as Katy B, MNEK, Oliver Heldens, K Klass, Armin Edge & Dance, Paul Oakenfold to name a few.

Career highlights include independently gaining a top 20 in the UK commercial club chart, with their debut single, ‘Take my Soul Away’, peaking at No16. “Getting so many inquiries about this track in many venues. Gonna be massive!” - (DJ Jason Shaughnessy). Their second release, with a dance festival vibe, undeniably complimented its predecessor, giving them their first ‘Top 10’ with ‘Yeah I do’, peaking at No9 in the UK Commercial Club Charts. In 2017, their collaboration with DJ/Producer, Sean Norvis on "We Love The DJ", was signed and released by one of Romania's biggest record labels, 'Cat Music,' gaining great support from DJ'S and fans globally. Furthermore, they have picked up great support from the Electronic dance scene, with DJ's such as BlasterJAXX and Timmy Trumpet adding their single's remix of 'Stand Together' into their Podcasts and sets. Again this set the wheels in motion for obtaining another Uk Commercial Club Chart position at No14 with their independent release.

More successes include The Rhetoriks becoming semi-finalist of the UK Songwriters Competition with their Dementia inspired song "Unspoken". The deep melancholy in Elle’s vocals, mixed with the irritability that can be found in Jay’s rap, strike an emotional chord with listeners. Just like it did with TV personality, Jayne Connery, founder of CCTV – Care Campaign for the Vulnerable. The song has been used as the soundtrack for a short film highlighting the poor standards and malpractices within UK Dementia Care Homes. This coincided with their EP release in November 2017, with The Rhetoriks donating a portion of proceeds to the campaign.
