Glad Community Choir at Langside Church

The Glad Cafe, Glasgow

£6 / £3 (under 12 yrs)
Entry Requirements: None

Glad Community Choir present an evening of music that recognises the important relationship between creativity and mental health awareness. As a society, there is a great need to address stigma surrounding mental health issues and open up productive dialogue about how we can recognise, communicate and process information around the subject. As a choir, we have been exploring the work of musicians, including Daniel Johnston, Brian Wilson, Adam Ant and Karen Carpenter, who have spoken out about their struggles with mental health. Through this exploration, we acknowledge that the arts and music can be a productive and cathartic therapy that helps us create a positive platform to discuss all issues relating to mental health.

Please join us at Langside Church on Friday 9th June at 7pm in this celebration of all things honest and healing in a subject that so often produces stigma and silence.

All profits for the evening will go to support the Glad Foundation. As ever, Glad will run the bar and we will play host to our extraordinary Glad Choir Tombola!
