"...'Dystopia’ is a well-produced, frequently powerful EP that does much to underscore the many strengths Stonepit Drive show as a live band. In a world that increasingly seems to favour homogeneity, bands like Resin and Stonepit Drive stand out as a vanguard for what (in my relentless march towards old age) I might call ‘real music’ – music born of passion, hard work and ambition – and I have no doubt that ‘Dystopia’ is just the beginning of Stonepit Drive’s journey." – Phil @ Sonic Abuse

"If Kurt Cobain had been a bit more positive and came from Nottingham, Nirvana would have probably sounded like Stonepit Drive. The four-piece have been together since 2011 and just got round to releasing ‘Dystopia,’ their debut EP. And while they have the same fuzzed up guitars and anguished lyrics as a certain Seattle group their world view isn’t quite so depressing. Sure, there’s a post-apocalyptic theme and a couple of moments where frontman Ant Howley roars like a mountain lion, but they sound more like the soundtrack to a party than a lonely heroin binge. Plus there’s a Minotaur riding a motorcycle on the cover because subtlety doth butter no parsnips." Tim Bolitho-Jones @ TBFM Online

Described by Wildfire Sessions as "*top local band who ripped the tent apart with their lively 100% energy set at Weldon Fest this year."

Stonepit Drive are looking to take their brand of gritty hard rock to new venues and audiences across the UK and beyond. The band's main influences range from bands such as Seether, Shinedown and Black Stone Cherry up to the heavier tones of Metallica, Stone Sour and Alter Bridge.
