St. Buryan are a five-piece indie-rock/pop band from the Newcastle upon Tyne and Sunderland (UK).

The band have amassed a steady following in their native North East through their upbeat sound and impressive live performances. Despite only putting out one new release since the back end of 2017, the band had their best year yet on stage throughout 2018, with appearances at popular North East festivals such as Evolution Emerging and Hit The North, and support slots alongside the likes of Flyte and Only The Poets in front of capacity crowds.

Whilst winning new fans through their life performance, a lot of work was in place behind the scenes with new material. In August 2018, the band announced that they had signed with Sound-Hub Records for the release of their next three singles.

St. Buryan initially formed back in 2013. But a combination of members being split geographically across the country for university and their efforts to marry their disparate influences into one coherent, unique sound let to the band ‘stuttering’ through their introduction to the scene.

Their “comeback” saw the releases of 2017 tracks ‘Everything I Said’, ‘Lucid’ and ‘Forget To Love’, all attracting positive attention and airplay on the likes of BBC Introducing (North East) and even BBC 6 Music late in the year.

2019 looks to be an exciting year for the band, with another two singles via Sound-Hub Records to come before July, and the band’s first run of dates outside of the North East taking shape through the Spring.

The five-piece have also just announced their biggest headline show to date, at Newcastle’s Think Tank? on April 27, with high hopes for a sell-out at the popular 250 capacity venue.

St. Buryan are: Ben (lead vox), Nathan (guitar/vox), Callum (guitar), Eddie (bass) and Rhys (drums/percussion).
