Walking the wire between 90s influence and modern pop, Split The Dealer's sound is fundamentally honest. Working with beautiful restraint and explosive passion, emotional lyrics and cutting edge production, Split The Dealer is taking on the alternative/indie scene by storm.

After writing pop songs for years, Sam (Split The Dealer) felt he wasn't being authentic with his art. He decided to step away from the singer/songwriter world and take some time to re-evaluate and evolve his writing.

Following a widely positive response from his stripped-back cover of System Of A Down's Toxicity (premiered by UNILAD Sound) Split The Dealer utilised the exposure by releasing his debut single, Dirty Birdy, on the 27th September.

Dirty Birdy is a song about substance abuse and addiction, with honeyed verses juxtaposed against a dynamic chorus. Each beat just as compelling as the next. The song has been described as the perfect balance between Jade Bird and Nirvana.
