One of the most powerful ways to progress in the music industry is to network. In this day of social media, we must not forget to get in the same actual room. With the success of the Conferences for the Music Industry (CMI) and the launch of the new Absolute Music Open Mic & Showcase nights, the team behind them have launched the South Coast Music Network.
With the simple aim of gathering all the movers and shakers across the South, the network will provide a vital hub of community for the music industry. The informal meet will take place on selected Mondays throughout the year and will include artists, producers, retailers, studio owners, managers, engineers, representatives from industry and many more.
Each meeting will have a theme and guests to present on their business. This will be an amazing chance to meet and chat, discover new opportunities and engage with friends and colleagues.
Alongside the meetings there will be trips to mainstream music industry events such as The Great Escape, RADAR and BBC Introducing LIVE. Another opportunity to meet all levels of the business to help further your career and success.
