Somahigh began life when singer-song writer, Sean Strugnell and Bass player, Leon Azor were introduced to the notorious Camden music scene by Buzzcocks legend Steve Diggle. It was from this moment that their aspiration to carve careers as musicians progressed to another level, hanging `out with various influential musicians and characters in and around Camden Town. On this journey they met keyboardist Paul Wolf and soon after drummer, Ryan Smith and formed Somahigh.

Since then, they have evolved with a more ambitious and adventurous sound, touring extensively and releasing original material through an independent record label; the Animal Farm. They have received airplay and support from Kerrang and BBC introducing and have had rave reviews by local press.

This year Somahigh have performed many live shows across London and Hampshire. This has launched them onto the festival circuit that will culminate with a slot at Bestival in September. In November the band will release brand new material that was recorded at Earth Terminal studios and mastered by Mandy Parnell at Black Saloon studios. Alongside this plans to support the digital release with a PR campaign, video's, artwork and touring are well underway.

Somahigh have shared the stage with various artists including Does it offend you, yeah?, Cage The Elephant, Dan Le Sac Vs Scroobius Pip and 65 Days of Static. They regularly draw in big sell out crowds at Camden Barfly and the Joiners in their hometown of Southampton.

Somahigh are influenced by far too many things to list here but share a musical resemblance at times to Blur, Bloc Party and Queens of the Stone Age. Sonically they weave intricate guitar and hooky keyboard lines, memorable vocal melodies and dance tinged beats that creates their very own wall of sound.
