A sextet hailing from the postal areas of Sunderland, England - Social Room champion an anthemic ‘in your face’ sound that is reminiscent of the UK’s most loved indie rock n roll bands.

Led by the captivating frontman Matty Smith, 2018 has seen the band really come into their own.  The well-received EP ‘Brightstar’ was produced by none other than Dave Stewart of ‪Eurythmics‬ fame, and a number of festival performances have seen the band share the main stage with the likes of ‪Happy Mondays‬, ‪Kaiser Chiefs‬, and Ash.

Currently amongst the critically acclaimed ‘This Feeling’ roster of bands,  the lead EP track ‘Brightstar’ was recently awarded the TF single of the week on Gordon Smart’s Radio X show.  Having just played a sell-out hometown show in-front of 400 raucous fans, the band will see out 2018 with a number of nationwide tour dates with popular mod revivalists ‘The Spitfires.’

With the same tour to roll on into early next year, 2019 is already shaping up to be a busy year for the band, affirming Social Room as one to watch in 2019.
