Skilf is a London based Rapper/Singer known for his heartfelt lyrics and distinctive vocals. From a young age Skilf was no stranger to the stage: a child actor performing at theatres and even starring in a full feature TV film. His passion for music was sparked a few years later as he started listening to Hip Hop and Garage, studying other rappers’ wordplay and the art of rhyming.

He began writing, recording and jumping on the mic over Garage/Drum ‘n’ Bass sets at house parties, open mic nights and pirate radio. His energetic delivery and ability to rhyme over different tempos and sounds grabbed people’s attention and gradually Skilf started getting booked for club nights, university shows and festivals.

Since independently releasing his debut album ‘Original Visions’ Skilf has received airplay on stations such as 1Xtra, BBC Introducing, BBC Asian Network and Bang Radio. He has shared stages with the likes of Pendulum, The Freestylers, Ghostface Killah (Wu Tang Clan), Tim Westwood, Chipmunk, Taio Cruz, Skream, Benga and Sam & The Womp to name a few. In the last 12 months Skilf has also started playing overseas with performances in Kavos, Cadiz, Shanghai and Berlin.

His collaborative work spans from Dance music legends Adamski, Ashley Beedle and Cut La Roc to Dubstep star Youngman, producers Agent X, The Nextroom and Hip Hop talents such as Genesis Ellijah, Serocee, Ceezlin, Dizraeli and Supar Nova. In 2013 Skilf teamed up with Irish production duo John Gibbons & Scimon Tist and made ‘Colder’ which received extensive radio play and reached the top 40 in the official Republic of Ireland charts.

As well as releasing original material Skilf is also compiling a series of cover videos on his YouTube channel. Recent cover videos include Katy Perry – Dark Horse and Tinie Tempah – Trampoline. He plans to release a new cover every one to two months with his unique twist of original lyrics over backing track from a well known hit.

Last summer Skilf released ‘Riding The Waves Feat. Salena’. The track was Produced by industry heavyweights The Next Room: responsible for collaborations with Snoop Dogg, Fatman Scoop, Ironink and Lady Leshurr. The remix package also includes Garage legend MC Neat who was one of Skilf’s earliest inspirations. ‘Riding The Waves’ will form part of new album ‘Second Thought’ which has been in the making for the past 2 years and will be dropping at the end of 2016.
