Hi my name is Raj - SilverFinger Singh

I am a Musician / Songwriter from Leeds UK.

My sound is a fusion of HipHop / Reggae & Bhangra music.

I grew up playing in the Harehills/Chapeltown area of Leeds, My Grandmother and her family first came to live in Leeds in 1976.

I am the son of Percussion Maestro & Producer Mr Inder “GoldFinger” Matharu (Fun-Da-Mental / Det-Ri-Mental / Transglobal Underground / Ian Brown / The Winachi Tribe).

I studied my Music Degree @ Leeds Metropolitan University and with the guidance from the Legendary Music Producer - Mr Andrew Fryer I was able to take my Music Production and Song Writing skills to a higher understanding.

I have now released my debut album the #EducationRoadEP and its available on @Apple Music / @iTunes / @Spotify / @GooglePlayMusic and many other online retailers.

In the making of this album I had the pleasure to collaborate with some amazing Musicians & Artists, which include: Kenny Higgins / Tim Hutton / Chris Dawkins / Chris Campbell / Faye Kenny / Simon Houdini Howarth / The Lyrically Justified Family / Mohamed Assani / Bigg Taj / Michael Mallinson / Lawrence Stewart & Tindale Thomas.

As an Artist I have been featured on the likes of BBC Asian Network / BBC Radio Leeds / BCB Radio / TV Conwy / IrvineBeat FM / Radio Sangam / Soho Radio & Radio Panj - Sound of 5 Rivers.

I have performed at live at events in Leeds such as Lyrically Justified & Hyde Park Unity Day.

In live shows I have had the honour to support the likes of Ian Brown (The Stone Roses) / Panjabi MC / The Sugarhill Gang / Aziz Ibrahim / Zakh Knight / The Winachi Tribe / Celt Islam / Rob Green & The Caution Collective / Karl Phillips And The Rejects / Tigerside & The Alpine Movement.

Most recently I have been involved with @LeedsCityCouncil their plans for #Leeds2023.

I was selected to perform live in-front of a capacity crowed at Quarry Hill for the #TheBigSendOff when Leeds submitted our bid to become European Capital of Culture in 2023.

It was amazing for me to be acknowledged and recognised as a Musician in Leeds when I was selected to perform live, and to represent my hometown filled me with pride and joy and it was a pleasure to have been involved.
