In the years that followed Seb has been writing original songs on his acoustic guitar and has now began to record these songs. The first 5 of which will appear on a new EP entitled Tigers to be released in July 2017 following a successful kickstarter campaign. The EP portrays songs about family, travel, the ocean, Van Gogh and missing people, to name but a few, predominantly an acoustic guitar lead record. Seb has also enlisted the help of some amazing session musician friends in the shape of Matt Cowley – Drums/Perc, Brad Waissman - Bass and Hope Russel-Winter – Piano and Vocals. Sessions for recording were done with the band capturing the bones of the songs completely live and took place at Jacket Records Studio in Childwickbury mansions, home of the Kubrick family since 1978. In 2017, Seb focussed on promoting the Tigers EP. This included gigs (a mix of solo and full band shows) including the Meraki Festival on Herts county show ground in August. He also performed live on BBC introducing Beds Herts Bucks and followed it up with an interview live one air. Seb also has a residency in West London’s Bayswater at the Prince Alfred every Thursday evening playing a mix of both covers and original songs. Seb also continues session work, currently working on the new Hope (www.hopemusic.co.uk) album as a guitarist, as well as dates playing with Lemar. 2018 see the writing and recording of the follow up to the Tigers EP as well as dates at the Meraki Festival, Horn St Albans and Proud Galleries Camden Seb uses Bare Knuckle UK Pickups and Rotosound UK Strings. www.sebwesson.com www.soundcloud.com/sebwesson www.instagram.com/sebwesson www.twitter.com/sebwesson www.facebook.com/sebwessonmusic “Seb Wesson’s acoustic folk stylings hint at an alternate reality where the nimble fretwork of Richard Thompson found itself on the American alternative rock scene of the 90s. Sweetly sung melody and beautiful harmonies drag over effortless guitar picking with the fragility and laid-back cool of a romantic slacker dream. A unique fusion of styles, his songs are a soundtrack to love, loss and watching moments pass across a lazy, hazy summer. “ – Meraki Festival
