Sean Kemp has been crafting his skills as a musician and singer/songwriter for more than a decade. In that time he has played in bands, worked as a session drummer and toured Australia – but now Sean wants to focus on making his mark as a solo performer. In 2010 Sean decided that he couldn’t ignore his desire to take his own hand-crafted songs to an international audience any longer and took time out from his band for the first time in many years to write songs on his own. It didn’t take long for Sean to find success as a solo performer, gaining a spot at the Semaphore Musical Festival in 2013 on the back of a simple demo recording. The audience response was so positive that it led to a number of high-profile support performances. Just a week later, Sean was asked to support UK legends Hot Chocolate at their sold out show at the Governor Hindmarsh. Later that year, Sean again took to the Governor Hindmarsh stage, opening for another UK act Tony Hadley from Spandau Ballet and then Boney M from Germany. On all occasions, Sean received a warm response from enthusiastic sold-out crowds.
