2021 sees Samuel Ashton emerging from a world of covered faces with a message to "Breathe Easy" with "Stillness in the face of adversity" as the soulful sounds of his voice accompanied by the warmth of the brass tones wash over you within the first few bars it's clear an artist has arrived, with a message of hope.
This new record is set to be released at an intimate launch show at Canterbury Baptist Church on Saturday 4th December 2021.
Samuel will be accompanied by his accomplished band and supported on the night by BAFTA and Emmy nominated New Zealand musician Blair Jollands, Brighton folk singer Maddie Broad and Kent's own Nancy Okai.
Guests are invited to bring their own drinks to the event if they choose to.

Samuel Ashton
Nancy Okai is a singer-songwriter based in Margate. Her music is influenced by a wide range of artists including: Lianne La Havas, Daughter, and Matt Corby to name a few. Her first EP ‘Daydreams' was released in 2012 and showcases her love of storytelling through song. Nancy’s most recent EP ‘VII’ released in 2017 chronicles feelings of discovery, change, love and loss. It presents an artist exploring her sound, taking musical inspiration from time spent alongside a variety of artists over the years. Nancy Okai’s sound can be described as a mix of Pop and Soul with a hint of Folk, but she ultimately leaves it to the listener to decide.
