SACRILEGE was formed in 1982 in the southern outskirts of London and, through relentless gigging and a handful of demos, earned themselves a loyal following. The band split up, however, after 5 years. 25 years later, in 2012, the band reformed under auspicious circumstances. A productive recording period followed, culminating in the album "Six6Six", released by Pure Steel Records in 2015. The album was lauded with praise from fans and press alike. In 2016 and 2017, Sacrilege embarked on the first series of gigs beyond British shores and performed in Belgium, Holland and Malta.
The band is currently recording a brand new studio album for release in 2018. A video-clip of ‘Lies’, taken from this album, garnered over 20,000 hits (Facebook and Youtube). Further European festivals and the band’s first live album are also in the pipeline for 2018. Sacrilege has shared the stage with the like of: Onslaught, Saxon, The Buzzcocks, U2, Hell, Skyclad and many others.
