PJ Rox (born Priscilla Jane Derricott) is a pop rock female singer songwriter based in south west London. She started writing songs at the age of 16 and releasing her own records since 2011. PJ Rox started piano lessons at the age of 7 at a local Chinese school opposite the Ronnie Scotts Club in Soho, London where she achieved a Grade 8 Piano by the age of 19. At the age of 16, she started writing songs and recording to cassette tapes. By the age of 20 she set up her own portable recording studio workstation in her bedroom to record music to a better quality consisting of new microphones and new software such as Logic Pro, 8, 9 and now Logic Pro X. She started writing instrumental music and naturally developed into writing songs. PJ Rox was chosen as her stage name because ‘P’ and ‘J’ represents her first name Priscilla and her middle name Jane. ‘Rox’ was chosen because she grew up listening to lots of her parent's 70s and 80s poprock music on cassette tapes, vinyls, CDs and became inspired by it.
PJ Rox set up her very own unsigned independent record label ‘Jolly Tough Records’ to help fund her recordings to get mastered and to advertise and promote herself online. In 2012, PJ Rox has also released her debut Instrumental Album ‘Jumping Off A Cloud’ in September 2012, debut song EP 'Love Hurtz' in April 2013 and singles 'Gonna Get Offa These Drugs' last September 2013, Trouble last May 2014. PJ Rox is currently released her last single 'Lana' last April and is working on a New Single 'No More Communication' on 28th August 2015.
