Pistol Shrimp is an electro pop duo formed of UK-based electronic musician David Burreddu and US-based singer/songwriter Aaron Peterson.
The writing and production of the Pistol Shrimp sound is maintained over email & Skype, but despite the distance between them, the duo effortlessly balances colourful indie pop, built up of catchy analogue synthesiser leads, rich baselines and infectious vocals hooks, with epic synth filled ballads with hard hitting drums, beautiful pads and layered vocals soaked in reverb.
In September 2013 Pistol Shrimp's 'Beyond Reach' gained recognition when it was licensed for Durex's Real Feel advertisement campaign which was aired throughout Europe on TV and online, as well as their debut single 'Moonshine' used in a Goodrich tyres commercial. The duo also gained national radio support last year with various songs and features being played on the BBC Introducing show supporting the best of unsigned and undiscovered music.
