Acoustic singer-songwriter Paul Murray performs a mix of folk, indie, and blues songs, combined at times with heavier rock guitar techniques. The guitar work sits perfectly with the thoughtful, observant, and entertaining lyrics. Over the past few years Paul has been gaining recognition on the London and Brighton scenes, having played hundreds of venues including The Garage, ULU and Ronnie Scott's in London, the Latest Music Bar, Sticky Mike's Frog bar, Green Door Store and The Prince Albert in Brighton. He has also played as part of the Fringe and the Alternative Escape festival's, and the infamous Fiddler's Elbow Folk and Cider Festival. Paul has made two studio E.P's, "The Mesmerist E.P" and the recent "Far From the Apocalypse", with an album coming soon.
Press: "Murray's music and lyrics manage to conjure images and thoughts much grander than the sum of their parts, with the kind of introspective nobility that could serve as the soundtrack your life flashing before your eyes during your final moments". - Jimmy Volts, XYZ magazine
"Next up, a local alt-folk singer named Paul Murray. Although he wasn’t country I enjoyed his set, he was a fantastic guitar player with honestly written songs although there was a fair bit of swearing in them. By this time the venue was quite busy and as I looked around, realised that everyone had gone completely silent and was watching him intently." - 2country.net
