London based band, Oh Brother is the brainchild of frontman, Jake Leslau. After having worked in music management on projects including, the launch of Radiohead’s Jonny Greenwood’s ‘Junun’, Jake embarked on bringing his own creative vision to life. His passion for both music and film can be heard in the way he’s crafted the songs which have a powerful cinematic feel to them, and the visuals for the upcoming EP reference classic moments from cinema history. Born and raised in London, but with a mother from Louisville Kentucky - his music channels a unique blend of US desert rock with big UK guitar tones brought to life live by his 5-piece band.
The upcoming EP is produced by Neil Comber who has worked with the likes of Declan McKenna, MIA, Goldfrapp, and Placebo.
It has been established with early live shows that Oh Brother are quite a force to be reckoned with - their debut at London’s All Points East festival where they were on the same bill as Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, paved the way for the band, who went on to play their first headline show at London’s Servant Jazz Quarters to a sold out audience of already raving fans, where there unquestionably proved themselves as a band worth catching live.
The debut single WHAT'S THE POINT premiered on Clash Magazine, was included in New Music Friday and NME's New Bangers playlists on Spotify where the track gained over 11,000 streams in under two weeks.
