Oakland Rain Music

Oakland Rain is a duo consisting of two 19 year old redheaded twins from Norway, and both similar in looks and voices they harmonize like only sisters can. During the past two years, the band has established itself as one of the most loved new comers in Norway. Their debut- EP was released in March 2015, and the band gained a lot of attention and critics calling their music and performances sensational. Oakland Rain is working with more material to release, and by FVN newspaper, the sisters are predicted to be the most important band worth following this upcoming year.

The sound moves within the pop genre, influenced by folk and electronica. The sisters have- not surprisingly, very similar thoughts around expressing themselves musically. As young adults in a fast changing society, Oakland Rain is a band inspired by the thought of writing about things that evolve not only themselves. They believe in music as a way to express feelings and opinions. The duo has a beating heart for nature in its pure beauty, and want to remind peers that trying to be perfect by following pressure rarely turns out in a healthy and strong mindset. They find social engagement an important inspiration to their music.

While building a steady home market, theyve performed at major festivals along the side of Kygo (NO), Hozier (IR), and Aurora (NO), DAngelo and The Vanguard (US), performed at half time shows at major football stadiums, and have had a lot of press coverage in radio, TV and newspapers. Last fall, Oakland Rain was on a European tour, which included Norway, Finland and England, and alongside touring and playing concerts, they are working on their EP, which will be released in 2016.
