A year on from the success of his EP Howling, the Buckinghamshire born, London based musician Nathan Ball returns with his new track Right Place, which was released on the 5th August 2016 through his own label Cold Water Records.

After receiving nation-wide support from BBC Introducing Three Counties and the Mark Forest Show, Huw Stevens played the track on his show and Right Place received a playlisting on Radio 1 for the week of its release.

With a new band and musical direction Nathan moves away from his days as a solo musician to a fuller setup, harnessing the epic live sound that has captivated audiences across the UK and Europe, both on main festival stages and in more intimate environments.

Pulling inspiration from dramatic landscapes, the people that inhabit these locations and the various ideologies that encapsulate these environments, his music is at once melancholic and reassuring.

"Right Place was written when we’d just got back from a tour playing shows up in the mountains in France.

It was an incredible trip for us, and when I was back home, I picked up the guitar and started exploring this idea of a ‘right place’, a place where people feel most comfortable and happy. Whether that be a physical location or a headspace, it’s a place where people go to find peace and feel free.

I showed it to the band just one day before we were playing at Barn on the Farm festival, so we decided to play it there and it just kicked off - people were going mad for it! We ended up taking it to Ian Grimble and recorded it with him in London at Church Studios - the song sparked the direction I always wanted the music to go."

After the success of last year’s festival season, which saw Nathan and his band play main stages including opening for Laura Marling at Somersault and alongside Rae Morris at Boomerang, they toured Europe selling out a headline show and supporting Sunset Sons at large venues across Belgium and the Netherlands.

This summer, they take to the road again to play shows at Secret Garden Party, Glass Butter Beach, Farr Festival and 7 Layers in Holland amongst others, and return to London for a SOLD OUT headline show at the Sebright Arms on 13th October, and a show at OMEARA on 15th March 2017 due to demand.
