Are you an acoustic artist? Maybe in a duo or trio, or more? A songwriter/performer/band of acoustic instruments & percussion?(Although I can record electric guitars & basses too.)

I can record your songs plus mixing & basic mastering in my purpose built studio here in the south of the Lakes. I use a Myrtle mic for that authentic sound favoured by folk, roots and bluegrass players.

So I can capture your unique performance in one go or I can do overdubs as you build your song.

I recorded the whole of FOLKLORE using the Myrtle mic - instruments, percussion and vocals. I produced, edited & mixed the tracks before handing them over to Andris Kiss to master - although I can master your songs if required.

I have other studio mics if you would rather have a dedicated mic set up. Plus I have many other percussion instruments if you'd like to add to your track.

As part of the La'al Cabin experience I can add instrumentation in the form of guitar, mandolin, mandola, banjo and bass if required. We can chat about what may enhance your track(s) without distracting from your own sound.

Session: I can record guitar, bass, mandolin, mandola, banjo & shruti drone parts remotely in my home studio for your own project and send them to you. I can come to you depending on location.

Basic pricing 2025, (subject to changes): Recording time £25/h then £50 per song to mix, edit & master. Example: 4 track EP - allow up to full day, then mix, edit, master for 4 songs £400. Packages: 1 song (3 hrs max) recording, mix, edit, master £125. It all depends on how well you know your song and how rehearsed you are with vocals and instrumentation. 3 hour morning/evening recording £75, then add mix, edit, master @ £50 for each song. Half day 4 hours £100, then add mix, edit, master @ £50 for each song. Full day 8 hours £200, then add mix, edit, master @ £50 for each song. Any additional recording time required @£ 25/hr for fixes, overdubs etc... *Instrumentation by me added by request (acoustic guitar, mandolin, mandola, banjo, bass, shruti, percussion) from £10/hr - only pay if you like it - if not, it's not used. *La’al Cabin deets: Recording and basic mix(s) done on the day, to take away (or emailed later) to listen. Tweaks & edits agreed, payment taken, mastering done and released to you.
