Marion Harper (1996, Montevideo) is a young singer and songwriter with an English father and a Uruguayan mother, who lives in Barcelona and is one of the most known emerging artists of Catalonia, with a lot of shows behind her back around the country.
Late in 2013, she signed with the record label Luup Records and in 2014 she released her first EP, called "Seasons". Later on, at the end of 2015 she released her first album called "Cotton Candy". In pop and synthpop style, her first album includes 11 new songs which are a cover letter for her music and voice with lots of personality, drums, electronic and a really fresh and personal style.
The young singer hasn't left anybody unphased and she has taken over her audience and critics, which has lead her to a presentation tour consisting of more than 40 gigs in venues and festivals around Spain, and in European cities such as Copenhagen. She also got to be the opening band for M83 at Jardins de Pedralbes Festival in Barcelona.
Some of the critics has compared her style with the band Chrvches or the last stage of Gossip music style. She has been featured as one of the best 2015 music works of Spain in MondoSonoro Magazine: one of the top magazines in Spain. Last April she received an award for best emerging artist in Catalonia by STRENES Festival, one of the most important awards for new artists around here.
