For over 9 years, songwriter, performer, and producer, Luke Dowler has been building a prolific and versatile body of work from the mountains of northwest Montana. Refusing to be categorized by one genre, Dowler has released a large catalogue of EPs, LPs and singles, selling 5000 records independently through a strong work ethic, honest engaging performances, and a knack for memorable hooks. In 2014, Paste Magazine called Dowler 'a Montana artist you need to listen to now', as part of their 50 states project.

Averaging over 110 shows a year, Dowler has performed across the US, Australia, Europe & Canada both as a solo artist and with a full band. In 2011, Dowler became known for his urgency and socially consciousness with the single 'Silence Is Shameful'. A moving, orchestral look at human trafficking, the video has amassed almost 50,000 views and continues to find new audiences worldwide. Signing to EMI/Dream Records in 2012, Dowler released the rock/pop full length album 'Polarized'. iTunes official review noted that Polarized has "a defiant edge that brings vintage Springsteen or Petty to mind...but avoids slavish imitation" and also revealed a "scrappy tunesmith deserving to win a wider audience among music devotees." After a subsequent US and Canadian tour, Dowler moved on from the label to continue to pursue his full creativity.

After recording past projects in Nashville, Portland, LA, Amarillo TX, and Madison, WI, Luke returned to his DIY roots building his own studio in Montana. He began to work on his latest project, a 4 EP collection: WEST, NORTH, SOUTH, & EAST. Each one would have its own themes and musical identity. Dowler produced and played all the instruments on WEST, which was released in late 2013 and featured a collection of songs diverse in style and subject matter but is held together by the theme of moving forward into new territory. After turning heads with his most multi-faceted and experimental work yet on WEST, Dowler continued to dig into the collection.

Looking forward Dowler says "It's an exciting project to undertake. NORTH is centred around themes of adventure and risk; while SOUTH has more of an 'earthy', folk rock feel that explores heartache." adding that "EAST will be much different. It will be full-circle; drawing on the energy of my first band's ska-pop punk roots and inspired by my love of pop, Motown and big band. "

In early 2014, Luke took a break from recording the 4 EP project for his first European tour and penning the track "The Edge" for the NORTH EP. While overseas, he also released the jangly, pop single 'Heart Attack" and corresponding music video, which can be seen on his YouTube channel and heard charting on multiple AA radio stations.

With the remaining EPs future release, producing outside projects and continued touring, Luke Dowler continues to build a body of work that refuses to be categorized by just one genre or sound.
