South London alt-rock band Little Grim mingle chilling, harrowing lyrics and soaring vocals with slick beats. The result is music you can dance and cry to, preferably at the same time. Inspired by artists such as Alt-J, Glass Animals and Everything Everything, their music is a delicate balance between intricate guitar parts and electronic elements.
The band came together after Joe (singer) and Jeremy (guitarist) met in their high school jazz band where they solidified their friendship over their love of indie bands. Since , they have been writing off-kilter pop songs whilst retaining dark sensibilities. Chris (bass) and Roger (drums) joined shortly after, completing the 4-piece outfit.
Following a string of releases since October 2018, Little Grim have picked up notable plays from Radio X, BBC Introducing, BBC 6Music with Tom Robinson, and Amazing Radio. The band played two live sets on the BBC Introducing The South's show with Melita Dennett. They also received praise for their music videos, with noteworthy acknowledgement given to their music video 'Hoodie' (directed by Frank Higson and Oli Carr of Do Not Entry) which was shortlisted for a BFI Futures Award.
Little Grim's live shows have been drawing large crowds to their sold out gigs at The Old Blue Last, Bermondsey Social Club, The Paper Dress Vintage, The Finsbury and their packed out performance at The Great Escape Festival.
Since being signed to Peer Music Publishing, the band have seen early success on TV with music featuring on BBC iPlayer show ‘The A List’, with more to come.
