Artist management, label management and talent development since 1997
David Manders started his career as a promoter running club nights and warehouse parties across London and staging events for Dazed and Confused Magazine before moving into artist management under the mentorship of Stephen King at Ricochet Management. In 1998, David established Liquid Management and, over the past two decades, has developed a wide array of artists from major label signings to collaborating with self-releasing artists and developing brand new acts. Initial success came from Public Service Broadcasting who the team discovered, launched and spent eight years managing, as well as establishing and running the band's own own label and selling over 350k records worldwide, selling out Brixton Academy, The Royal Albert Hall and touring worldwide.
Stephen Dix joined the company in 2005 and has worked closely with David in developing the careers of Public Service Broadcasting, LIFE, Flamingods, Nubiyan Twist, Ren Harvieu, Onipa, Sister Cookie and a host of other artists over the years. Suzi Ireland has worked in many areas of the UK music industry, including artist management, A&R, journalism, artist promotion & development, and event management. She is now part of Liquid Management where she looks after new artists Nuha Ruby Ra, Public Body and CLT DRP, and is label manager for The Liquid Label. Through her 18 years working in music education, Suzi has mentored many artists and bands through their first releases as well as coached young music executives into their first professional roles. She has also curated and organised stages at many festivals including Glastonbury, Victorious, YNOT, Truck, The Great Escape, 2000Trees and more.
The team started The Liquid Label in 2021 with funding from Believe Digital and Cargo Records, and have released 3 studio albums including LIFE, Sister Cookie and Noon Garden, plus an EP from VALERAS as well as Flamingods' new album 'Head of Pomegranate' via funding from Amplify Records. Highlights so far include Spotify 3.7m+ streams, Apple 1m streams, 2500 downloads, A Top 10 Indie album, 5 x BBC 6 Music Playlists, 7 x Amazing Radio Playlists, 6 x Jazz FM Playlists, Spins on Radio 1, Radio 2, Radio 1xtra plus 100s of other spot plays across other UK stations, Playlisted in Europe on popular stations including Radio Eins (Germany), Canal B ( France), KEXP (US), plus 1000s more across international stations
