This track was inspired by Danielle Hosie, a long time fan who was recently diagnosed with terminal cancer having beaten the disease twice before. I'd followed her journey for around 3 years and was in awe of her fighting spirit, her courage and her desire to live every day to its fullest no matter what life threw at her. It made me realise how much we take the next day being there for granted and waste a lot of time worrying about the small stuff. That got me thinking about my own mortality and how I'd cope knowing I only had limited time left on this earth. I knew I'd want to spend as much quality time as I could with the people I love. The lyrics and melody of the song came to me in a matter of minutes. I shared it with Danielle and her producer cousin offered to record it, even arranging for Andy Gillespie of Simple Minds to play piano on the track. I've kept the sound as stripped back and raw as possible to let the lyrics and emotion of it stand out. Sadly Danielle lost her battle with cancer and passed away in February 2018 so this song has become a tribute to her
