Nathaniel Steele is a London‑based jazz vibraphonist with a reputation for lyricism, swing and straight‑ahead authenticity. His debut album Portrait of the Modern Jazz Quartet earned BBC Music Magazine’s Jazz Album of the Month, 4‑star reviews across the UK press, and even broke into Japan’s jazz top‑10. Since then he’s toured nationally, premiered new work with Grammy‑winner Alan Broadbent, and led Arts‑Council‑funded projects featuring international guests like Grant Stewart.

A champion of the scene as well as a performer, he co‑founded BopFest, now a major week‑long London festival celebrating bebop and modern jazz. Described by Clark Tracey as “one of the best vibes players this country has ever produced,” Steele brings a melodic, Milt‑Jackson‑inspired approach that has drawn praise from Benny Green, Joe Locke, Jason Marsalis and more. Expect elegant lines, deep groove and world‑class straight‑ahead jazz.

With Simon Purcell Piano, Mark Taylor Drums, Amy Baldwin Bass.
