As they celebrate their 35-year anniversary, renowned jazz development organisation, Tomorrow’s Warriors, shines a spotlight on some of the finest young emerging jazz talent in London as they bring their Youth Ensemble to Karamel.

Tomorrow’s Warriors Youth Ensemble is a band punching well above their weight – a unique sextet aged 15-19, the band boasts exceptional talent. They are one of Tomorrow’s Warriors flagship development groups, mentored by Denys Baptiste – one of the most acclaimed British saxophonists of the 21st century – as well as Binker Golding, Sultan Stevenson, and Gary Crosby OBE.

With influences ranging from bebop and hard bop to spiritual jazz and fusion, expect a varied, dynamic, and exciting set!

Free access to Tomorrow’s Warriors artistic programme has proved crucial in nurturing the nascent talent and early careers of so many of the most exciting UK artists currently tearing up the international jazz scene including Mercury Prize 2023 recipients and BRIT Awards Best Group 2025 winners Ezra Collective, Moses Boyd, Nubya Garcia, Shabaka Hutchings and Sons of Kemet, ESKA, Jason Yarde, Denys Baptiste, Robert Mitchell, Soweto Kinch, Shirley Tetteh, Byron Wallen...the list goes on.

Tomorrow’s Warriors offers a pioneering, free to access, comprehensive programme of learning and training which champions and supports young Black and female talent and those who come from challenging circumstances that would be a barrier to accessing opportunities to pursue a music career.
