Naomi Gee Wright is a visionary British cellist and composer, whose music, featuring the sublime vocals of Brigitte Beraha and tabla mastery of Ben Hazleton, sits finely balanced between composition and improvisation. It draws on core influences of Indian classical music, Sufi and Celtic folk string traditions, alongside inspirations from Ry Cooder, Egberto Gismonti, Joni Mitchell and Benjamin Britten. Her latest album, Meteor Trail, released on Oti-O Records, has drawn much critical acclaim.
