Tomorrow’s Warriors presents London based alto saxophonist *Mali Sheard *as she leads her new quintet for the first Warriors gig at Karamel for 2023.

As a musician Mali draws her inspiration from the great alto players like Phil Woods, Paul Desmond and Cannonball Adderley and her song writing compositions reference a broad spectrum from the Great American Songbook through to elements of traditional folk music.

With a repertoire of her own material and standards, Mali is an artist to watch and has already played Ronnie Scott’s, Queen Elizabeth Hall, Pizza Express Live Soho, Foyles Bookshop and the prestigious Dizzy’s Club at the Lincoln Centre in New York.

Tomorrow’s Warriors is a pioneering talent development organisation, creative producer, learning and training provider, charity and consultancy specialising in jazz. Founded in 1991 by Queen’s Medal for Music recipient Gary Crosby OBE and Janine Irons MBE, Tomorrow’s Warriors helps aspiring young artists from diverse backgrounds discover their magic and achieve creative ambitions.

TW nurtures nascent talent and builds engaged, culturally diverse audiences and has been recognised both nationally and internationally, receiving over fifty awards, including the 2021 Impact Award from Jazz FM.
