Jon Dearing is a singer/songwriter originally from Dorset, UK. Following the release of his debut EP ‘Found’ last year, his style of Acoustic/Country/Folk blended with Pop/Rock has had him featured across BBC Introducing, iHeartRadio and the Best of British – Unsigned Show, along with articles in publications including Entertainment Focus, Forever British Country, UK Country News and many more. Last year alone he was played in over 17 countries. This has raised awareness and recognition for him as an artist and live act, taking inspiration from the likes of Ed Sheeran and George Ezra to Bon Jovi and The Goo Goo Dolls. Starting off as a singer and an acoustic guitar player, Jon learnt his musical trade in the West Country before moving to the city of Southampton. Here he worked with a number of bands and collaborated with other artists playing some of the top music venues in the city, including NME’s #1 small venue The Joiners. Establishing himself in this vibrant music scene, Jon became the opening act for televised UK artists including Nathanael Landskroner (The X Factor) and Dean Borozcky (The Voice) and gained recognition as one of the top live acts. He has now moved on to playing renowned venues around the country including London’s Half Moon Putney, and playing sold out shows including opening for Folk trio Wildwood Kin on their ‘Headed For The Water’ Tour. These works have coincided with charitable shows Jon has played, during which time he became, and continues to be, a keen supporter of the U Support Charity playing at fundraising events. Following the success of the ‘Found EP’ Jon is now set for a big year in 2020 with his new single ‘I’ll Be Yours’ out now.
