Katriona is a British Singer/Songwriter whose music is soulful and evocative with strong melodies and tender lyrics. She performs jazz, hot swing, funk and soul and is versatile in her song spectrum, elegantly reinterpreting classic jazz standards as well as performing Latin and Brazilian rhythms. Katriona excels in high quality entertainment and her distinctive vocals have given her a loyal following in London and the South East.
She has performed at venues such as The Soho Jazz Club, The Bulls Head Jazz Club and she took part in the London Jazz Festival last year. Katriona has opened for the legendary George Benson as part of his World Tour and has sung at prestigious music events such as The Edinburgh Fringe,The Henley Festival and The Cannizaro Park Festival. Her professionalism has made her a popular choice for clients such as The Wimbledon Tennis Association, Bulgari and Porsche. Katriona has performed all over Europe, for HRH Princess Alexandra at celebrity concerts and as support for the James Taylor Quartet and top UK artist Liane Carroll.
Katriona’s usual line up is a quartet with pianist, drums, bass and sax player although she is equally at home solo with a pianist or with a larger band. As well as more traditional classic jazz performances, some of her recent shows have included themes such as “An evening with Cole Porter”, "Songs from The Movies" and "Jazz Up The Eighties”. The combination of Katriona’s unmistakable style, precision and stage presence, teamed with her dynamic and highly accomplished musicians, produces a fantastic show.
She writes and performs her own songs and her latest album Precious Time reflects Katriona’s love of blues, soul and Brazilian rhythms.
